Where is my USSF badge?Printable

THE PROCESS

Referees are mailed a badge when either:

  • They have completed ALL the requirements to become a new USSF Grassroots Referee
  • They have registered again for the subsequent calendar year

If USSoccer Learning Center says you are currently licensed referee, you can referee without the current badge.

CNRA (California North Referee Administration) sends a list of referees to be sent badges to a fullfillment company called OSI (Official Sports Inc.).    (This is the same company that sells the official USSF referee uniform.)   For CNRA, OSI prepares a batch mailing, typically with 400 to 500 badges, and sends that out every two weeks.   The process is labor intensive.   Referees should expect to get their badge in three to four weeks.

If you have not gotten your badge after four weeks.

  1. Check the USSoccer Learning Center website to see if your are a currently registered referee. Logon.  Go to your profile (upper right had corner).  Look for a Referee license in the right hand column titled "U.S. SOCCER REFEREE LICENSES"
  2. Check that your postal mailing address is accurate.   Look in the left hand column under "CONTACT DETAILS"
  3. Reach out to registration@cnra.net to ask about your badge.   Include:
    1. Your Name
    2. Email address (preferred and the email that you used to register with USSoccer Learning Center)
    3. Your 16 digit USSF registration number
    4. Your mailing address

NEW REFEREES

  • You registered for the First Time Referee course.
  • You completed almost a dozen different on-line training modules.
  • You completed a "Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments" on-line course.
  • If over 18, you completed a Background Check (and paid for it).
  • If over 18, you completed a SafeSport on-line course.
  • You attended a three-hour field training session

ALL of these have bo be marked completed before you are a referee.   Any one item is missing and your referee license has not been issued.  Your new badge will be good for 6 to 18 months, depending on when you registered to take the First Time Referee course.

ANNUAL REREGISTRATION

Your referee license is good for the calendar year.   You can reregister for next year starting in July of this year.

  • You register for the Reregistration Referee course
  • You completed a number of different on-line training modules
  • Your "introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments" license is current
  • Your background check is current (if over 18)
  • Your SafeSport is current (if over 18)

If any of your "safety" related licenses expire, (SafeSport, Backcround check, "Safe and Healthy Playing Environments")  your referee license will be suspended by the United States Soccer Federation.   Complete the missing safety course, and your referee license is reinstated.
